PSP media converter dated
Trial users of Image Converter 2 can upgrade for free when the official version becomes available.
TOKYO--The PSP's media converter, Image Converter 2 version 2.1 for Windows 2000 and XP, will be available in Japan on February 8. It will be priced at 1,500 yen ($15). The software updates a trial version of Image Converter 2, which was released December 13, but offers the same features.
Image Converter 2 can encode movies and still images to file formats that are viewable on the PSP. It also can encode files to AVI, WMV, and QuickTime formats. Those who purchased the trial version can upgrade to the official version for free when it becomes available. The software will be available for download at the Image Converter 2 site.
