Winning Eleven fans to colonize new Nation
Konami opens Web site for popular soccer series that offers news, exclusive info, forums, and a PC demo.
Fans of World Soccer Winning Eleven 8 International now have their own Web site, called Winning Eleven Nation, Konami said yesterday. The site will offer news, exclusive information, strategy and tips, interviews, polls, and a forum for discussing the popular soccer game. It will also let users download and play a demo of the PC version of the game.
Rob Goff, product manager at Konami Digital Entertainment America, said Winning Eleven's fans are passionate about the game. According to Goff, "Winning Eleven Nation will provide a place for all fans of the series to get together, talk about the game they love, and receive...news, information, and media."
World Soccer Winning Eleven 8 is set to ship for the PlayStation 2, Xbox, and PC February 1. For the first time, the game will include teams from licensed leagues and use the likenesses and names of about 4,500 real players from 193 teams. GameSpot's previous coverage offers more on the game.
