World of Warcraft takes the quest to Korea
Blizzard provides Korean players with round-the-clock support in their native language.
Blizzard Entertainment launched World of Warcraft in Korea today, uniting one of the most popular massively multiplayer online role-playing games with one of the hottest MMORPG markets.
Starting today, Korean players can sign up for a variety of subscription plans. Blizzard is backing the game with a Korean support staff who will assist in the synchronization of content updates, the management of player feedback, and the provision of direct support and accurate translation.
The launch follows a period of beta testing in Korea. "After receiving amazing response from the Korean community, we look forward to the official launch of the highly demanded World of Warcraft," said Jungwon Hahn, managing director of Blizzard Entertainment Korea.
Korean players who are currently in the open beta have the latest version of the World of Warcraft client and can continue playing once they choose a method of payment. Those who are new to the game can visit the official Korean World of Warcraft Web site for instructions on how to download the client and begin playing.
