EverQuest II dated
Sony Online Entertainment's highly anticipated MMORPG sequel will ship on November 8.
Sony Online Entertainment today announced that EverQuest II, the long-awaited sequel to SOE's massively multiplayer online role-playing game, will ship simultaneously to North American and European retail stores on November 8. Four years in development, EverQuest II features what SOE president John Smedley calls "the highest production values of any online game produced to date," including more than 70,000 lines of dialogue voiced by Hollywood talent.
Three different versions of the game will ship simultaneously. The CD and DVD versions of the game will each carry an MSRP of $49.99, and each will include a 30-day subscription. A monthly fee of $14.99 is assessed after the trial period is up.
A limited edition DVD release of the game, called the EverQuest II Collector's Edition, will be available at an MSRP of $89.99. Among a selection of bonus in-game items that players can use to decorate their in-game houses, the Collector's Edition boasts an exclusive art book, a bonus DVD with behind-the-scenes footage, a soundtrack CD, a collector's coin with a velvet pouch, a cloth map, and two posters.
