Konami ships 1.4 million PS2 copies of Pro Evolution Soccer 4
Konami's soccer game sees a major kickoff at retail in Europe.
Konami was understandably pleased--and vocal--today about the success of Pro Evolution Soccer 4. The European division of the Japanese publisher shipped 1.5 million units of the PlayStation 2 edition of the soccer sim on its first day of release in Europe. This launch is 140 percent larger than the 2003 launch of Pro Evolution Soccer 3, which sold 1 million copies its first day. Xbox and PC versions of the game are due next month.
