Myst IV golden
The fourth installment in Ubisoft's venerable adventure series has been approved for production.
Myst-mad PC gamers moved one step closer to puzzle heaven today. Ubisoft announced that Myst IV Revelation, the latest installment in the long-running adventure series, has gone gold. Rated T for Teen, the game is on track to ship September 28 on a hybrid PC/Mac DVD that will retail for $39.99
Developed at Ubisoft's Montreal studio, Myst IV will feature an all-new graphics engine. This will make for more-dynamic environments than in earlier Myst games and will render 3D scenery in real time. The game will also follow a more linear path than previous installments, having players solve the disappearance of a little girl while traveling between planar realms known as "ages."
