- Comprehensive "The History of Mortal Kombat" from inception through MK: Deception

Midway announced Mortal Kombat: Deception, the latest iteration in its venerable series, in February. The 3D fighter is set for an October 4 release on Xbox and PS2, and it will include online play. Midway has not yet officially announced the Xbox special edition. GameSpot will post more information as it becomes available.
