Death, Jr. movie in works
Backbone Entertainment's Death, Jr. to star in movie and comic books as well as PSP launch title.
Circle of Confusion, a Sony-based production and management company, has today announced the development of both a movie and a comic book starring Backbone Entertainment's Death, Jr. Originally created as a character to show off Backbone's cross-platform 3D engine technology, the scythe-wielding son of the Grim Reaper is the star of a PSP launch title first unveiled at last month's Game Developers Conference.
"We feel Death, Jr. exemplifies our interest in bringing cutting-edge properties to the forefront of the Hollywood mainstream and other mediums," said Jon Goldman, CEO of Backbone Entertainment,
The Death, Jr. movie is expected to be directed by Larry Guterman of Orange Grove Entertainment, whose previous credits include Cats & Dogs, Antz, and the upcoming The Son of the Mask. We'll bring you more information on this story as soon as it becomes available.
