MGM Interactive and developer Perception have today announced that they will be working closely with the US Air Force to ensure the authenticity of its upcoming Stargate SG-1 game. Based on the sci-fi TV show of the same name and first announced in March, the Stargate SG-1 game will be published on currently undisclosed platforms by JoWood.

"The US Air Force is pleased to have been part of the Stargate SG-1 team since the beginning of this highly successful television series," said Pentagon spokesman Douglas Thar.

"Our continued cooperation with the series and now the eagerly anticipated video game will ensure the authenticity of each will not be compromised," added Los Angeles-based Air Force liaison Lt. Danner.

Specifically, the US Air Force will be helping to ensure that the game features plausible plots and storylines, realistic Air Force character traits, and authentic military insignia and weapons. We'll bring you more information on the Stargate SG-1 game as soon as it becomes available.
