Following closely on the heels of the upcoming release of La Pucelle: Tactics, Nippon Ichi has teamed with Atlus U.S.A. for its next RPG release: Phantom Brave.

The spiritual successor to both La Pucelle: Tactics and Disgaea: Hour of Darkness, Phantom Brave further expands the gameplay mechanics developed by Nippon Ichi. The tactical, open-ended battle system gives players increased control over their party. After training their troops in any of over 400 skills and spells, players can move them freely around the battle map to gain an advantage or counter a difficult situation.

The story of Phantom Brave centers around an orphan named Marona, who can see and manipulate spirits. With her companion and guardian Ash--a swordsman who was killed alongside Marona's parents--Marona comes to the support of the citizens of the area around her home on Phantom Isle Island.

One unique feature of the game: a tutorial mode in both English and Japanese.
