Updated Graphics + Great Controls = Must have DS game.

User Rating: 10 | New Super Mario Bros. DS
Learning Curve: 0 to 30 minutes
Presentation: 9.5
This game has no tutorial. It is simple Super Mario Bros. It starts off easy, but slowly the difficulty progresses.
Graphics: 9.0
Mario looks great. Everything looks great. There are really no flaws in the graphics. It is on of the best looking games on the DS. There are many bright colors, fast movements, and surprises of graphical quality.
Sound: 8.5
There are many familiar songs from the Mario Bros. franchise in this game. They all sound nice and rarely get annoying. The boss music could be more intense, though.
Gameplay: 9.5
The controls are possibly the best part of this game. They are (most likely) what you would expect in a sidescrolling Mario platformer on the Nintendo DS. They are great. Most of it is not stylus controlled (AKA the way a Mario game should be played).
Replay Value: 8.0
In my opinion, this game really never gets old. I can beat it over and over and over again, and I still love it. There are eight worlds, with many, many extras.
Story: 8.0
This game doesn't really have that much of a story, but the reason the story gets an 8.0 is because Nintendo kept it simple, and the same. Sometimes changes aren't the best thing in the world.
Environments: 9.0
The game's environments, for the most part, are all different and are full of surprises that will keep you playing for hours on end.

New Super Mario Bros. for the Nintendo DS is a must have for anyone who has a Nintendo DS.
