A successful remake is always welcome by the fans!
The game's plot is quite simple and there is not much to say. Mario tries to rescue Princess Peach from Bowser's evil schemes.
As far as the visual part of the game is concerned, the graphics are quite impressive and the result really satisfying despite the 2D environment. The gameplay is simple and the control very responsive. New moves and Mario suits have been added. All characters can now spin, carry each other, perform ground pounds, throw ice balls, slide like penguins and fly up as mini-helicopters.
A unique addition is the multiplayer mode. You can now finish your quest with the help of a friend (or more) in co-op mode. The playable characters are: Mario, Luigi and the Toad Bros (blue and yellow). You can even choose to compete with other players in a coin battle mode that you'll find quite entertaining.
New Super Mario Bros Wii is a strongly recommended game not only for the fans, but for the newcomers as well. It is a game that shouldn't be taken lightly and a solid classic title which will grace your collection!
