The game's a total rehash for god's sake! It did not live up to my expectations a bit. Same level design and the music is identical to New Super Mario Bros. Wii, and there is nothing really new. The only new stuff is the Golden Mushroom and there's a boo in the ghost houses that is the size of the empire state building, but that's pretty much it. The golden Mushroom makes the game way too easy. Seems that Nintendo's just lazy and is just tricking us for the money lately, which makes them say, "Hey, instead of creating a whole, new Mario game, lets just alter NSMB Wii a bit and re-release it for the 3DS with a few gimmicks and collect the nieve gamers' money!" Video games are created by heart for entertainment , not only the money. Besides, the plot is predictable; Oh No! Peach has been kidnapped by Bowser for the 12,000th time! What will Mario do? he'll kill Bowser for the 12,000th time after trying to rape the Princess for more than 2 1/2 decades! *Yawn* Same plot in practically every Mario game. They should just come up with something new in the Mario universe for once, like they should just start with a new plot from scratch and not have Bowser kidnap the Princess for a change. Instead, they should just come up with either Bowser taking over Yoshi's Island and have Mario going on a quest to save the Yoshis, or have Wario as a main villain again(hasn't been done in 20 years) or have him and Waluigi team up in a plan to take over Mushroom World, or get King Boo to haunt the Mushroom Kingdom, or have Wart the Frog come back for revenge in Mario's dreams, or have the Alien from Super Mario Land try getting revenge (honestly would have been the perfect Mario Galaxy plot for both games), and I could go on forever with the list of ideas Mario hasn't used at all or in ages. This Bowser trying to rape the Princess thing got stale a while ago and really needs an all new plot, and on top of that, I would have committed suicide by now if I were the Princess after always getting raped by some giant fire breathing turtle/dragon hybrid for all those years.
Boring rehash of New Super Mario bros. Wii, and if you have that game and are thinking of getting this one, don't because it's just the same stuff with a few alteration and a few gimmicks. Also, the Mario Club's gotta be more originaland creative before the franchise becomes more of a cash cow than what it has already become.
There is a big gap between the old classics and the New Super Mario Bros games. While the old ones are full of awesome memories, the new ones try to bring back that classic feel again, while offering the player at the sa... Read Full Review
