This game puts its predecessor in the shade.

The graphics may not look as 'realistic' as the first game BUT i think they're extremely beautiful!
There NPC's aren't as nearly as bland as the first game.
The repetative nature that was bestowed upon the first game has been completely removed from this one (thank god)
The storyline is more interesting and complex
Climbing buildings has become a lot easier
The 'side quests' are fun and a little different each time, unlike the first game.. Where it was just the same thing over and over again o.o
There's a lot more exploring, the cities looks bigger and better
The characters have more personality
You can customise your swords and armour
AND YOU CAN SWIM! o.o
Okay, the storyline:
This time it made more sense, the first one sorta confused me.
The characters have been created a lot better, each given their own personality, i specifically love the different religions/beliefs and cultures.
I love WHY Ezio became an assassin, the storyline this time round is more deep and thorough.
As i said before, they're not as realistic as the first but since everything else in the game is better (my opinion) than i really don't care xD But to be truthful the graphics are amazingly beautiful anyway, so it's a bonus for me :3
The gameplay is great. Easy to get the hang of and you learn new abilities and gain new types of weapons as you progress through the game.
My favourite feature is that you can buy weapons and armour to customize yourself. So it feels easier as you get further into the game, plus on the weapon side of things, you can choose attack power over speed if you wish, for example, Maces deal heavy damage to armoured soldiers when Swords don't but they lack the speed that Swords have. So it's based on personal taste ;P
The health bar is more complex, you have to drink 'medicine', that you buy from a doctor, to restore the health you've lost. You can also buy pouches which gives you the ability to carry more viles of medicine and another pouch which extends your space to carry more throwing knives (when throwing knives become available)
The tutorial is easy enough, it explains the basics and you learn what to do and how you do it whenever you obtain a new ability.
Overall, ACII is an amazing, stunning game which will have you hooked from start to finish ^_^
I give it a 9.5 rating but me, personally, would give it 9.7/9.8 =]
