Wow!!! Now that's skill!!! Mad props to you bro. I remember playing this as a kid when it came out. It was the first TMNT game made on the original N.E.S.. For some reason though I seem to remember those bosses taking way more hits...meh. Great job. I had no idea the game could be completed that fast.

Emulation is awesome for stuff like this.

I like the Sega Mega Drive II version much better though.
The gameplay is a bit different, this one's more Mario-like with all the pits and stuff like that.
But then this is a slightly earlier generation of consoles...

Talk about walking memory lane!!... dude, i loved this game, but the main memory I have about it is how INSANELY frustratingly hard it was... lol... the ending is so dumb... "Thank you turtles, now im gonna change back to human!"... like if splinter had a disease and shredder had the cure... lol... thanks for the memories!

That sure brings back memories of me and my brothers playing this game 24/7 on our Amiga growing up. My older brother eventually did beat it, though me and my younger brother never did. Watching this video, it still looks insanely hard.

Uh oh, it looks like Splinter put something on the pizzas, right kids? lol...Splinter is the one on something, transforming himself into a human...I had a great laugh with this!

Is tool-assisted a fancy way of saying 'I used an emulator' or 'I cheated'? Or, 'I edited the timer on the film and did each scene individually then spliced them together'?

Of does it just mean 'I listened to Tool while beating the game in 18 minutes; thus, Tool-assisted.'?

The only thing I seemed to recognize was the underwater area. I remembered that pretty clearly, it must have been frustrating.

mangalord, TAS:ing requires tons of skill, not in actually playing the game, but in figuring out all the weird and wonderful timesavers and knowing the game absolutely inside and out. stuff like checking memory addresses is done to make this task easier.
