Neo Contra manages to be very fun to play. If you still play games for fun... this is a no-brainer.

Neo Contra is run-n-gun action at it's best. Blasting various enemies is done so well in this game. The controls are spot on, you don't have to use two analog sticks instead you use the shoulder buttons and the left stick to concentrate your fire. The system feels different at first but after 15 minutes you will see why it's 1000 times better then control schemes in most shooters. The levels are fun to play and cool to look at. The graphics aren't great but the art direction is unique. Neo Contra manages to add a story but it's easy to skip and I would advise you to do so. If you want a story in your game read a book.
I really did enjoy this game however, a few things were off. Selecting guns was annoying because they were not balanced very well. Set-up A was superior to B and C. The game can be completed in about 2 hours. Lastly, I could not find an option to set the game to 'hard' mode.
Overall as my rating would suggest... Neo Contra is a must own game for anyone who enjoys shooters. There are plently of unlockables that will have you replaying this great game over and over again.
