An MMO that wants you to do so much just to get a car. And its not even free!

User Rating: 2 | Need for Speed World PC
When I heard that there was going to be a free MMO styled Need for Speed I was really excited. But when I played it I felt pretty bad. It has the same physics and gameplay as Carbon, and the cities of Most Wanted and Carbon combined, but Its just a flawed, boring grinding way for a racing game.

At the start you get a bit of money to get yourself your first car. These are weak cars and you obviously have to race to get money to upgrade them. Unfortunatly money comes in very slowly and you will have to do hundreds of races just to make a few thousands. There is already a bustling online community and you may lose races and make no money at all. But EA let you use real money to hire cars, or even buy them. But if $35 is nothing to you well go ahead.

GAMEPLAY:
The racing is typical last gen NFS. But now there are power ups such as nitrous boost, traffic magnet which you can do on other people and many more once you level up. Unfortunatly level 10 comes in about 2 hours and you will have to pay if you want to play more. This is bad as its supposed to be free!

CLOSING COMMENTS:
Need For Speed World may look like a great MMO to sink your teeth in but is really a marketing campaign to make Ea money if you get addicted to it. But its just not worth it! Grinding for money, $35 for a car, its just way for EA to make money. If you loved original NFS you may enjoy it. But its made for EA to make money.
