Gameplay: There are 3 modes in this game, which all work together to create a nice package. For all these modes you recieve money and rep working towards an overall level. The three modes are, Race, Explore, and Pursuit.
Race: there are 2 kinds of races, lap and sprint.
Out of these two sprint is better in my opinion. You can race in sp or mp, but multiplayer is your better bet. The tracks are good, and they are typical nfs. The problem with racing multi-player is the fact that EA didn't bother to put a hack shield on this game, so you will lose many races to hackers.
Pursuit: Don't want to put up with hackers? Like running from cops? this is your mode. Pursuit is simply running from cops. when you see a cop on the street in explore mode you run into them, this initiates a police race. The longer you go, the higher level the pursuit. you can get as high as 5. If you get busted, no worries you only go back down to level 1 and lose a little cash. This is the most fun I have found in this game.
Explore: Explore is what you do when you're not running from cops or racing other players. You can go crash into cars, run around the towns, hang out with friends. Just whatever
Those are the modes. The second great thing about this other than the gameplay package is customization.
you can't have a nfs game without customization right? Well you've got it. You start out with tier 1 cars, not terribly impressive looking. You have paint jobs and emblems which you can put on them. When you get to tier 2 cars (above level 10, 5-6 hours in) you can buy nicer cars like dodge charger. the higher level you go the nicer cars you can buy. The customization options also go up. you are only limited by your imagination... and your money.
Graphics: The Graphics look great even on medium setting. When you hype up the graphics to as high as they go they look even better, but that will make your game lag. Depending on the machine you are using, you can raise or lower the graphics level. I suggest keeping it on medium if you can.
