Some games got it, and some don't....

To put it simply, it is like NFS watered down. You don't get to tune your ride, and you don't get to choose from any special line-up of cars. Because no one has the ability to spend hours and hours tweaking their car to perfection, the races are incredibly boring. It all boils down to who is in the front when the race starts, and who doesn't crash into a wall. The cop chases are even boring. I can lead a cop chase on for about an hour and they never seem to stop me. Meanwhile I have disabled like 50 cops and have done all sorts of property damage, and in the end I gain a TON of money and respect, but for what? So that I can do it again? There is no real goal in this game.

What happened to the spirit of NFS when it all relied on the driver's ability to tune his car such that he THINKS he has a slight advantage against his opponents? It's ridiculous at best to think that this game will last more than a year. It is dry and boring with no foreseeable chance of success.
