Need For Speed Underground is an overall good game because of its handling, and the unique cars that can be created. The graphics of this game are overall excellent. EA made the streets filthy, giving it a realistic look. The cars are glittery and reflective, although the reflections look uneven. Starting off the cars look ok, but as you progress and customize your car with the rims, neon, and body kits the cars look nifty. The most impressive thing I found about this game is the sound. Exhaust note, tire squeals, engine noises, and the screeching of two cars going side by side are all done correctly, and sound realistic. You can also tell the difference in engines by the noises. On top of this, the music fits perfectly with this game. Although the game can be played with little learning required, some areas require practice. There 4 modes circuit, drift, drag, and career mode. The worst part about this game is the career mode also known as “Go Underground”. There is very little story to the career mode, making it a combination of all the modes. Other then that the game modes are enjoyable. E.A. does a great job at making a import car racing game.
