Check out renowned Hollywood director Michael Bay's television commercial for Need for Speed: The Run.
Michael Bay should stick with Transformers. Nothing special about this trailer. Bay's talents are wasted if he actually spent time on this trailer. Hopefully he just gave them rights to use his name.
Very action packed trailer but I find trailers like this completely pointless as they don't represent how the game will look or play. I mean, are we actually going to be controlling the driver as he runs on foot from helicopters or jumps from rooftops? My guess is no.
I think it will be a great addition to the rest of the NFS franchise, Hot Pursuit did a good job. This one will be even better.
I have only ONE hope about ONE condition in this game. The final race/mission is probably gonna be Epic. My hope is that I get to make it more Epic by the condition that I will be able to choose the car I race by myself. (A Ford Shebly 1967 Mustang GT 500)
@moomadness I think this one is more like a movie trailer http://www.gamespot.com/need-for-speed-the-run/videos/need-for-speed-the-run-race-for-your-life-6340839
I think they might have finally come up with a winner. I agree with part of what Airyik said, Underground 2 and Carbon were the last two good games, everything after that was terrible, especially since you couldn't customize your car at all. All you did was drive around and do boring races over and over. This one actually looks exciting and seems to me they really wanted to push that aspect. As long as its exciting, polished and not at all repetitive, I'm down.
I don't know if you can't design your own car again cause if you can't I could care less about it. Most wanted was when I started hating this franchise, Underground 2 and Carbon were much better. I don't see what running around has to to with cars but whatever I guess some people would rather run around like a chicken with it's head cut off then make your own car then race it, but to each his own.
Aw Yeah cant wait for this only 1 week away...looks n sounds very Innovative, thats never been done before in NFS, a long race like this one. Overall this trailer looks n sounds MENTAL! :)
@charlievo "Racing for your life? How original." Because there are so many racing game where players are racing for their lives.... Racing for their lives and money! Perfect combination. Are they suppose to be racing for lollipops?
Why would anyone be complaining after that awesome trailer? This is exactly what the people need. Time to break the mold of the typical racing game. This game has an actual storyline which is awesome. Driving across the United States with all different environments! The environments are actually interactive like with rocks falling. What is there to complain about? Nobody wants another Underground especially me because I could care less about tuning cars and driving in dark streets. Boring. Most Wanted is my favorite NFS but I hope this surpasses that. And Michael Bay did The Rock, Bad Boys and The Island which were pretty good movies.
@Bigjammy trust me, u dont want this game... play the demo and ull change ur mind real quick, there more more explosions in THE RACE then there are in transformers 3, the explosions from the demo will IRRITATE THE HELL OUT OF U!!!
It seriously angers me because I'm sure Michael Bay was paid at least 20x my annual salary just to make this.
after watching this im kind of confused is this a racing game, or more closely related to grand theft auto? as a fan i simply want to customize my car, and drive a wide variety of imports/tuners (2000 civic si, 90's acura's, skyline r34, etc), and EA cant even do that... im tired of Ferrari's and lambos
I don't know if the game is going to be good or not, but Michael Bay, can make a trailer look good. Watching this make me feel like I was watching a trailer for an action movie and not a game, pretty fun!
"at first I want explosions like KAPLAHHHH!! Then I want things like mountains crashing like BLARGGGGH KAPLOWWWWW!!! Then I want more explosions like KABOOOOM with Bumblebee jumping into the scene while fragments of an asteroid crashing like BOOMKABLAMPOW!!!" Michael Bay on Ice.
