Great racing game, except for the drift part.

Need for Speed: Shift was a good change in the series. Instead of history-based underground racing, EA tried to battle with Gran Turismo, Forza and Grid, and were almost successful. There are a plenty of great cars, nice tracks (Spa-Francochamps and Nürburgring are the best), but the drift part of the game is too difficult and annoying.

The races are divided on four tiers, 1 and 2 are quite easy, and the other two are a little harder. I'm not a car specialist, but some cars are harder to drive than others, and the sense of speed is very delightful when you drive a Pagani Zonda, a Bugatti Veryon ou a Ford GT, for example.

The controls are good, with instant response when I play with a joystick. I didn't like to play using the keyboard.

One problem: the game needs a good video card to run well. Forget about generic onboard video devices.

Finishing, it worth playing.
