Any good tricks/tactics to win drift challenges?

I am playing the world tour. I am not able to reach 50,000 points, which is for the 3rd position. So can anyone please help me?

-Dont hit walls to accumulate the multiplier.
-The multiplier will appear near the green smoke.
-When on a straight course perform a small drift so the multiplier chain won't dissapear.
-Use cars with high drift meter

You drive towards the corner/bend as per normal... try to stay in the center of the road, as drifting would cause your car to move inwards to which ever direction you are aiming for. at approximately the right time... you decide... hold on the E-Brake for about 1-2 secs... you should also turn your car in the direction of the corner (left or right)... this will cause the car to swerve inwards. let go of the E-Brake and hold on the accelerate button.. your car should now be slightly straight. after which, turn your car in the opposite direction in which you started from. e.g if you started right, turn left and vice versa. try to keep the car in line and not to crash onto the walls... it should work... though it takes alot of practice... xD..
