- The Bottom Line:
- "Uninspired"
In my opinion, the Need for Speed series has been going on for too long. Sure, who doesn't love Carbon or Most Wanted, but this is a rough installment to this aging series.
Right off the bat, you notice something isn't right. This game is way too loud. But wait, you have the volume on 10? Well, it will probably still be blaring. But loud isn't always bad, right? Well, if you have horrid sound effects and voice acting screaming at you through the TV, then yea, it's bad.
Oh, It's full of glitches too. All throughout the game, it seems the graphics are stopping. And it is inexcusible b/c none of the other NFS games had glitches like this, which means that this game got a whole new graphics engine. And that brings us back to the "this series has been going on for too long" aspect.
The story can't save this game either. With all the oppenents saying "I'm gonna kick your butt!" and your character ranting "I am not sure I can take this" kinda starts to get annoying. It's like EA tried to put a dramatic soap opera onto the already lousy storyline.
Overall, NFS Prostreet is a loud, glitchy, unispired mess of a racer that, hopefully, won't speed its way into your home.
