Not bad, But far from brilliant

So, Need for speed Pro Street.. yeah well first things first.. I DO like the game.. but there are some elements in the game I just hate. Example: most cars feel like all the tires are worn out all the time, slipping en sliding all over the place. The cars hand,le fine on the fast corners but when you have to take a slow corner like a hairpin.. DAMN! that's almost impossible to do it the proper way, don't get me wrong it is possible to do it properly but it's so difficult becouse all the cars handle like **** in the slow corners.. I drove my Nissan Skyline GTR (almost fully tuned with racing suspension, tires and so on) and i know that in real life the handling is supreme but in this game.. it just isn't.. it was ALOT better then the car i drove at first an Mitsubishi Eclipse.. that thing had no handling or whatsoever.. and that was weird I had the best suspension, tires, brakes you name it on it.. and it made almost no difference! so lame.. But anyway my point is.. that the cars just don't feel as planted on the road as you hope it would, and that kills the confident to push it.. becouse for some reason if you miss the brakepoint only slightly you skid off the track like you braked a year later or something and crash. Oh yeah speaking of crashing.. thats also pretty lame.. you have to pay for your damage wich is fine but when you crash and think **** i'll just restart you find you have to repair your car first or else you will be standing in the grid with an damaged car..like WTF! so that makes the whole restart stuff completely useless.. becouse for example you can't win a race becouse you keep crashing.. you can bankrupt yourself on one race en win like.. 5000 creditz.. and pay 20000 damage costs.. that's just lame. So that's also the problem that you have when you wanna push it a bit with cars that just don't hanlde well.. stuff goes wrong quickly..
but the absolute worst thing of the game is the drifting.. I never came across such a complete failed attempt on a drift modus.. the cars feel so odd it just so unreal.. when you start the car just makes a cloud of smoke (why???) and your not goin anywhere.. after like an hour of flooring the trigger you start moving and the horror begins.. it feels like you are drifting a scalextric car with a really strong magnet under it.. so weird.. and lame and everything..
the speed challenges.. boring that's it.. it's really boring But you might thinnk ah man **** you man you probebly just suck! well i'm playing racing games for many years and most of the games i played i masterd it, but mastering this game is really something else..
okay enough! things I like! The fact that you van completly customize your ride is always an plus.. although the interface could be a bit better but it's not bad at all. The finetuning is awesome! you can change the spring tension, ride height, anti roll bar, Gear ratios, tire pressure.. you name it! even the airodynamics! awesome! an the great thing is: IT WORKS! I noticed an improvement in the cars i tuned that was nice.
what i also like is the way the Drag mode worked out. it's really cool! changes in the tuning of your car really matter!
What I also like is the face that you are racing for improvement, I mean after some winnings you are like YEAH! I can finally buy that wide bodykit or what ever to improve your car, and that's great!
but that are the only things I really like from the game.. I do enjoy it but... I prefer GRID that game just drives so nice.

So the verdict:

The game is great fun but not brilliant.. lots of litte mistakes and irritations. but what also weird is.. in the start it sez.. Let's take racing off the streets and to your local raceway or something.. but i'm sorry.. why am i racing on a highway that's not even finshed then??? that's stupid. The cars look great and you can do ALOT to them, to bad that most cars handle like your driving on oil all the time.. Still a good effort from EA but I feel like it's a bit overrated.. if you don't agree.. well that's fine
