I played and finished the game with about 60% of the activities done on the map, and I give this game a 5 out of 10. Why? Well, where do I begin...
1. Dialog is retarded. Just plain retarded. Nothing to explain here.
2. Story is....sigh.
3. Some side bets were easy as all hell to get. Some, were impossible. For example: Don't wreck in an off-road race where you have tight turns and 5 gorillas up your a**, chasing you and raping you into the walls.
4. Hit something at 200mph and a two second Benny Hill crash scene happens......sometimes. Most times, nothing happens. -- Where is Burnout Paradise? :'(
5. Upgrading is more annoying than a monkey banging on pots at three in the morning. I couldn't for the life of me tune my cars as best as possible, because the shop never sold the damn speed card I needed. So I had to spin for it, like 12 times. And I still don't have it! Wtf??? >:(
6. Every race gives you about the same amount of money 7k to 12k. But later in the game an exotic car costs 300k to 450k, plus upgrades and customization. It will take me forever to have a nice collection of cars all tuned up and customized. How much grinding is that? Yeah, exactly. Too much.
7. Soundtrack is horrible. Wish I could turn songs on/off.
8. I love racing in tight cornered tracks WITH A DRAG BUILT CAR! I bet they were standing by the cooler in the office when one degenerate thought it would be funny to put that in the game. It was so much "fun".
9. Tons of bugs. Most are whatever. But I especially love the invisible rocks that you hit as you're coming into a turn in a dirt race.
10. Taking down cars doesn't add any value. It's a cool scene. But again: Where is Burnout Paradise!!? :'(
11. Throughout the game they kept talking about a city. Yet, I never saw a city in 70+ hours of the game. Maybe it is hidden somewhere and we only see it after playing the game 100+ hours or 5000+ hours.
12. No weather? Really?
13. Graphics are ok, but should be "wow" -- especially on 4K....especially in 2017!!
14. Linear cop chased is annoying. Also, no cops outside missions? That's because cops go to sleep outside of missions.
15. Open world? About as open as Paris Hilton's...anyway. About 85% of the time. Try taking a shortcut off a cliff.... yeah, it will reset you for no good reason. It resets you in free-roam but naturally it won't reset you if you go off course (not talking about crashing) during a race or a mission.
I promise, I will never buy a Need For Speed game ever again if they continue with this crap. This was a true waste of my money. Rest in peace Need For Speed.
