Seems a bit hypocritical to me, guy says he wants you to be able to do what you want when you want it, looks i cant do everything i want. He also says every decision in the game is based around the player having fun and makes a point to mention that he sees why people love it, but its been excluded.
I cant see why having this feature would be a bad thing. If he said something like due to time restraints its not in i could understand better but the reasons he gave seem weak.
Apart from that loving everything else he said. Easy drive menus back, can change your car at any time from the easy drive menu, freeburn challenges confirmed to be just like paradise.
Customisation and some form or story would of made this game absoloutely perfect, but what you gonna do

Seriously though, would you really want to add body kits and spoilers to super cars in the first place? They already look good and adding body kits will just make them look worse IMO.

man if you got the money to drive those cars through billboards, then you are pretty awesome. You obviously dont care much for the cusotmisation, but you cant deny it would of been cool to go online with your one of a kind car, especially in a game where multiplayer has such a huge focus. Its gonna be crap if everyones just driving around the same colour lambo.

Check out Forza Horizon. I had a feeling customization wouldnt be in NFS this year once again and now that its confirmed im not buying this game and instead looking forward to Horizon where customization is confirmed (plus tons of more cars, not just supercars)

I can see their logic behind no customization. Super cars have been designed from the ground up to go 200+ mph. You don't screw with the aerodynamics by adding some wonky bodykit. So, while it's lamentable to a degree, it's probably the right choice.
I do hope that there is at least a paint editor. I'd like to be able to paint my cars whatever color I want, rather than just having a handful of color choices a la Hot Pursuit.

Visual customization... Meh, as long as they're a wide range of color options I'm good decals, including custom ones would be cool but stuff like body kits and that crap? No, just no you don't do that to high performance vehicles. Performance tweaking/customization is a million times more important and interesting and from the sound of things that's in. The whole changing cars on the fly thing seems extremely interesting to me.
If this scares off Underground fanboys then all the better I say, good riddance.

It's a wiki.
First rule is, never trust a wiki unless it has sources.
Also, it has been confirmed that the game has no visual customisation, appart from colour changing.

Until they released the 'unlock all cars that you can get with normal play' DLC, then everyone had access to all of the cars regardless of progress, including Gold/Plat paint.
It was good while it lasted though.

Meh, the last one I actually enjoyed that type of thing in was the first Underground. Every single one after that was utter crap.
The last one I bothered with was midnight club la, and that thing was nowhere near as good as Underground.
