This make the game more fun and fast. Even in a race the cops can show up and mess with everything... even when you END the race the cops will continue to be in your tail and you have to run away. This is a good thing since after the end of the race you don't get yourself teleported to the local you started the race. This simples thing makes the game more real.
The cops in the start will simple try to slow you down by hitting you or putting their car in the front of yours. When you cause much trouble, more and more cops show up, they get more agressive and in extreme cases, they call for the elite cops, driving fast and more resistant cars.
Known maneuvers like the Pinch or the Box maneuvers can be used against you, and even if isn't sufficient, the try to stop you down using road blocks and Stripes to blow your tires...
The cops don't focus their attencion to you car, they can go to against others racers and cause to them some trouble. This is a good thing since you dont feel like being the CENTRAL ATTENCION.
The AI of the opponents racers are great, they can have more powefull cars then yours and they will make anything to be in your front. Normally the avoid hitting your car, but if this is their only option, they will do everything to have your in their rear mirror.
Your don't have the same freedom in the modification of your car like the Need for Speed Underground 2. You cant choose for example you front lights, or individuals Front Bump. You can only buy the full kits. But this rule is only for the body of the car... the Performance, and Graphic customization are the same of the last game.
Speaking in graphics, Need for Speed Most Wanted is much more superior. This game has a better programming and run much better than his previous version in the same computer. Even if you don't have a great graphic card, the game can be very beautiful, with great effects.
