No offline multiplayer OR custom races?! It's like, wtf is the point? Great racer, but all Hot Pursuit 2 fans: Rent 1st!

I loved Hot Pursuit 2, there was so much to do in that game. Custom races, offline multiplayer was exhilarating , immersive career, and intense gameplay to boot. While this remake does expand on some of these aspects, and meets them with great looking graphics, some of Hot Pursuit 2's charm is definitely lost.

No more offline multiplayer...

Umm... Why? It's a huge let down especially if you were as addicted to it as I was a few years ago. Most of the entertainment was bringing a buddy over, and blasting through roadblocks at top speed together. It really limits the remake's potential for fun, which is unfortunate considering all of the additional equipment at your disposal and the amazing looking graphics.

So, again, if you're buying it expecting a great sequel filled with the novelty of the last Hot Pursuit and then some... definitely rent it first to see if it is still worth it knowing Single player career (cop/ racer), and Online Matches are you're only options.
