One of the best NFS games in a while. Great online action with friends leaderboards. Excellent selection of cars!
The game takes place in a fictional place, known as Seacrest County. It is an open network of roads and features over 160 kilometres of open road for you to race on. The game has a number of different environements from the desert to the snowy hills as well as a major highway network which can all be raced on.
Need For Speed Hot Pursuit features both a number of single player and online multiplayer modes. Although this game is mainly played online over Xbox Live.
The game features a new feature to the NFS series known as 'Autolog' feature. This feature allows you to compete for the best times against friends on different stages to compete for number 1 on the leaderboard. The game also allows you to make recommendations to friends on your Xbox friends list as well as post messages to say you have beaten them in a specific event.
The game also features online multiplayer modes like cops and robbers with up to 4 cops and 4 racers or 1 cop and 1 racer as well as standard races.
The game also has a great selection of vehicles for you to drive from leading car manufacturers from all over the world. Most cars are also available to drive as a cop car. As you progress through the game and rank up you recieve new vehicles, weapons to use against the opposing team.
The game also has weapons which can be used against both cops and the racers. The weapons range from spike strips, helicopters, EMP, Police Jammer, boost, etc. These vary depending on the event and whether you are playing as the cop or racer, only a certain number of weapons are available to each player per event.
This is one of the better Need For Speed games in a while. Featuring awesome graphics and sound and great online multiplayer modes as well as the new 'Autolog' feature. Highly recommended to any NFS fan or arcade racer fan.
