Awesome! 50% NFS, 50% Burnout Paradise, 100% PURE Adrenaline! Smooth Drifting! HP at its Best!
Clocking this game has been about 38 hrs of pure fun and adrenaline for me! This is just a short but accurate review. I would have given it a 9.5 if only it had these few essentials that I feel would have made it even better than it is!
It needed Nos rumble/vibration, driving/engine vibe, (as all of the previous NFS had) and it should have had the Turbo in ALL of the racer events! However, this game is still total fun and very addictive. To me its part typical NFS with much less customisation........actually, none, asides from a different paint color, and part Burnout style racing. The drifting however is definitely the BEST ever! VERY Fluid and easy drifting around corners at 250 kmh or more!which I find outstanding and so smooth! The overall gameplay is outstanding, as are the graphics, as are the new things (as a Racer) such as the weapons like spikestrips, jammers, EMP's and the almighty TURBO! And playing as a cop is just as fun as playing as a racer and you get to choose which side to play as you like, both events are there to play at will. Cop weapons are calling in a helicopter, EMP, roadblocks and spikestrips. What made the cop play just as fun is that the cars are the same as the Racer cars and all of them range from very fast, to lightning speed! Hot pursuit has never been better!
And a very awesome and new feature is that on Xbox 360 the game automatically reads your hard drive stored music each time you insert the disc! The left bumper skips the music tracks, very cool but it also should have had a button to read previous tracks but overall this game ROCKS!!!
An absolute must have for all NFS & Burnout fans! I give it 8.5
