Short single-player, but definitely good where it counts.

Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit 2 has all one could ask from a street-racing game.

Illegal car racing on many different tracks, backwards if you please, and with different weather.

Police cars dominate the race track. Very well implemented with sirens, spike strips, and helicopters. Cars in front of you pull over when your lights are on.

Graphics=Awesome. Reflections, high-res 3-D view, and damage work perfectly within this. Exaggerated speeds and physics make you feel like James Bond in the ending sequence, while realistic cars and backgrounds along with personalized sounds for all circumstances thrust you into the world you're speeding through.

The single-player championship systems may be hard and short, but the 2-player/1-player races are extraordinary. PLUS: This game is from 2002, so it's generally pretty cheap! Be sure to look for this game the next time you go to GameStop.

P.S. I hate racing games (in general).
