Coming off the heels of NFS: Most Wanted is the sequel game that adds canyon drifting to the mix. If you loved NFS: Most Wanted good chance you are going to love this game too. You start off by linking the past game to this one, Yes Cross is still after you for out running him from before but at the start of the game he has the upper hand this time. Well you start off, having to fight / race for your respect and pride. You begin by racing against all on comers and challenging them for tuff, if you beat two areas you win that tuff, and by winning tuff you get to unlock your crew. The crew aspect of this game allows you to overcome more challenges, you will have three different types of crew member to choice from blocker, Drafter, and Scout. Each one has its own skills and benefits. Blockers: Blockers will take out the lead car so you can gain the advantage in the race. Blockers will follow you so they have limited Nitrous so make sure you are at the second in the race and wait till you need the advantage the most. Drafters: Drafter goes faster than you and allows you to catch there tail stream and gain major speed to launch you to the front of the pack. Scouts: Scouts will help you find the quick way to the finish line; they find all the secret tunnels and passages to get to the end the fastest. Now with that entire crew member on your side, you can only hire about three of them and only one can race with you in a race. Now with each member comes different benefits, like the ability to lower the heat level, more nitrous, more cash winnings etc etc. Now with all that the most dangerous race in the game is the canyon duel. You race in the canyon for ownership of the tuff you are battling for. This is a two part race you first follow your opponent and then you out run your opponent. You can get out of this race by speeding up passed your opponent and taking the lead and holding it for about 10 seconds and you win the race flat out. The customizable options in the game do range depending on your crew member you have hired on, certain member will allow you to customize your car beyond anything and others do not offer this option. The racing options and races are the same as before. The best part of this game is still the outrunning of the police in the game, the higher the heat level the more attention you will receive, some of your crew after some races will try to help lose the heat off your back for you, but in free roam you are on your own. The more you race the more you unlock from the rewards cards menu. In this menu you find out how to unlock most of the cool stuff in the game, and the unlocked content is available for you in the game races. The final race boss race in the game is the hardest yet, you go through about four or five races against the guy who set you up in the first place. My final score for this game is 8.5 out of 10. It’s fun and all but a little short.
