A port of the console version? I think not.

User Rating: 7.2 | Need for Speed Carbon: Own the City PSP
In Need for Speed Carbon: Own the City you are former street racer who gets into a car crash while racing your brother. After being released from the hospital you learn your brother died in the car accident. You are shown a photo in which reveals a mystery car. Your goal in the game is to earn respect and find out who did this. To earn respect you must win races and defeat rival crew bosses to steal their territory.

This game is mainly based on a new feature called "Crew". Through out the game you are able to manage your crew members, and cars. Your crew will follow you in races and help you win by using special moves such as "Brawling" in which one of your crew members will temporarily disable a rival racer. It sounds kind of silly, but it is very useful.

The psp version of Need for Speed Carbon is lacking a large amount of content that the console versions contain, canyon racing, and auto-sculpt. Here let me explain.

Canyon Racing on the console versions was advertised to be a very interesting part of the game, and it is. It's exciting, new, and fun. Yet there is no canyons racing in the psp version... at all.

Auto-Scult in the console versions is an amazing new feature where you can modify your car extensively by using sliders. Now, I didn't expect this on psp version, but the amount of customization is very low. When you first get your car you can only change the color. Own one region and you will only get 1 of the 5 body kits. Though disappointing, if you don't have any of the other Need for Speeds on the psp I'd pick this one up over the others since it includes Free Roaming for the first time. But if you have the others stick with them, there isn't $50 worth of change between them.
