An average basketball game that doesn't really do the job!
First of all, the gameplay is probably the best thing about this game! That might not be saying much, since basketball is basketball, it does what it does! The modes in the game, besides Dynasty, are almost completely useless, unless you just want to do a quick game or play around with mascots for a little while!
The graphics are below average as opposed to other games in the EA lineup! The faces have no character, players and coaches, and the bodies come in one of three types: small, medium, and large! Other than that, the arenas look believable and, for the most part, everything moves fluently! Also, the replays could have used a lot of work, since most of the things you do look completely unrealistic!
The sound was done really well! Of course, the crowd and court banter is pretty standard! Dickie V and Brad Nessler do a great job when it comes to the commentary, but the lingering problem of repetitious statements is easily recognizable! I catch myself repeating the same things as they do because i'm expecting it!
This is a game that you should not be in a hurry to play! Heck, you shouldn't even want to play it now with all the good games out! This is for those of you looking for a cheap game, or just want to complete this sad series!
