March Madness 06 is better than previous March Madness versions, but it can still use some fine tuning.

User Rating: 7.2 | NCAA March Madness 06 PS2
The overall ratings of some teams is questionable. For instance, Michigan St. who went to the final 4 last year and have alot of players back are only a B+ with at least 18 teams being A+, A, A-. Gonzaga, ranked in the top 5 in some preseason polls, is only a B, yet Cinncinati is an A?? The lockdown stick is a nice feature which can turn a game around or get you in foul trouble (which is realistic). The issue with players dropping considerably in ratings between seasons in dynasty mode can be ridiculous. I had my starting pg go from a 73 to a 57 and the backup pg went from a 73 to a 65 after the first year. For those who like recruiting in NCAA football, March Madness is pretty much to that level, possibly better in some ways. You can recruit any player you want during the season and if you still have holes to fill, there is the off season recruiting with plenty of 6 and 5 star players available. (I'm not sure why they have 6 star players but they do.) As far as gameplay, the sliders can make the game pretty much to your liking. Some players will dunk pretty much every time they are near the basket and others won't dunk even on a break and even if their dunk and jumping abilities are cranked up. (For instance, I highly doubt you will ever see Maurice Ager throw one down? I haven't and I even cranked up his dunking, jumping and the sliders) Just like the QB rating problem with 06 football, it seems that some of the problems should have been seen simply by playing through a dynasty.
