NCAA Football 2005 is an okay game, but it should have improved much more...

EA Sports has been making games all year for almost every sport around. MVP Baseball was a great success but, when they made NCAA Football 2005 they fell a little bit short all around. There is a dynasty mode where you have a bunch of NCAA seasons all stringed together to a dynasty. You remain the same team throughout the entire dynasty which can get kind of boring. That mode is good, but inside the game gets better to. Now, home field advantage is a factor as you can pump up the crown and defense and shut the crowd up on offense. It's really fun when you're away to score first and help those guys shut the hell up. Also, 2005 added a mascot game, where you play as all of the mascots in a game. Also it has a mode that you join a classic college football game and play from the exact down and time and possesion and everything. The gameplay was probably the best part of this game. The graphics were pretty good too. The visuals were good but not great, and it had new features added. The new home field advantage thing sure did help, but after a while your finger got tired from mashing the L2 button. They still have announcers, but those guys are VERY annoying. After you have a good polay you can choose to have your players, the cheerleaders and mascot, or the fans go crazy. That made it pretty fun to score a touchdown and have your fans crying in happiness. The sound in this game made my ears pop. The soundtrack consisted of a marching band playing which isn't terrible considering that it's a college football game, but everytime you scored it was the same..exact..song! It got on my nerves so much i just muted the entire game. The announcers were terrible. They were very, very annoying with their constant repetitive babbling. The only good thing with the sound was the crowd that sounded pretty good. Otherwise, they've pretty much hit rock bottom.. I ended up playing the game only about 10 hours, and for 50 bucks it wasn't worth it for me. I'm not saying that it was a bad game, but if you don't have a good time playing a game that is impossible if you never played it before than I would say just rent it. Maybe NCAA Football 2005 can fix this game and bring it back to a great game, and live up to it's potential.
