Too many gamers with unreasonable expectations. NCAA 14 is the most realistic looking football sim to date

User Rating: 9 | NCAA Football 14 PS3
Gamers today keep saying NCAA doesn't improve year to year...and I'm tired of hearing that.

I remember when my ball carrier would just suck in to a defender. FIXED!

I remember when a LB would jump 20 feet high to pick off a pass over his head. FIXED

I remember when every tackle was a perfect form tackle/monster hit by one player on defense. FIXED

I remember when speed rushers had no chance of getting a sack. FIXED

I remember when there was one blocking animation. ADDED

Year after year, the on field animations, and player interactions when blocking, catching, tackling, breaking a block or breaking a tackle improve significantly.

To me, passing constantly improves with realism both in animations and accuracy in coverage schemes / how to beat those schemes.

And now this Infinity 2 engine? This is getting more and more lifelike. I'm loving these changes.

I'm not sure what people expect from a football game, but I'm fairly certain that expectations right now are unreasonable for many, and no football sim will ever meet those expectations. To me, any and all football games will get low ratings for these gamers.

I'd give the game a 10, except I do think improvements should still be made on erratic passes as all QBs are way too accurate. Also, the blocking on runs to the outside is still too sticky.
