NBA Live 2005 is a great game to play. You have great options in the game and the game mode are enjoyable

I like NBA Live 2005 because it is really fluid for a PS2 basketball game. You can learn it very easily and its fun. The dunk contest is the hard part of the game. You must learn a variety of controls to learn to make the best dunks there are and then you get legendary dunkers to rate you 1-10. The franchise mode can be a bore at times but it can be funner if you play it with a friend. The gameplay is great though and it plays very fluid and you can enjoy it and catch yourself playing the game for hours. I did, and I still play it today and enjoy it. Basketball games can sometimes be slow and ongoing but this one is definitly worth the time in my opinion. I suggest you try it out sometime and who know, maybe you'll end up buying it. The controls are so easy to learn you can pick it up and be a pro at the game. There is also a mode where you can go one on one with your favorite NBA stars but I'd rather play a regular game. The soundtrack on the game features cool songs and offers a lot of variety.
