Looks like another year for 2k's on top! if you havennt played NBA 2k games then idk what you're waiting for. The cloest thing to nba video game wise. one of 2ks biggest problems is the courts. Lives is the animations.
Another thing again 2k does better 2k is calm realistic and not all glamour like Live 2k had a simple but amazing vid of kobe this is all look at me sh*t its horrible and this makes b-ball look bad and look like a sissy sport Live sucks none of the players once dived in the vid like Mike wang said they did they all pranced over and didsome no look pass way 2 listen 2 ur fans and get the job done thanx 2k
What the hell is going on with the strobe effects and the ectoplasm surrounding players cutting to the basket? Why even put these things in the trailer if they're not going to be in the game! I think the strobe lighting was put in to hide the fact that the animation in this version is going to be just as choppy and unrealistic as previous versions of live." Authentic Basketball", PLEASE!!! Watch this trailer very closely and you will see @ 1:43 into the trailer michael pietrus shoots a jumper over Lebron and Lebron does not turn around until the shot goes in and andy varejao is ready to inbound the ball. is that "authentic basketball"!
lol I just love these ea promos "we wanted the user to do what the user wants to do with the basketball" well ea what have you been doing for the last 10 years? If I remember correctly I could do all I wanted to do with the basketball in Live 2005 so how is this a new feature, why is there NO progression in ea games, only recycle and stupid advertisement, it's like they make subpar games on purpose so people would buy the next years addition because they hope finally there will be some progress. Jeeesus, just babbles for 3 minutes without saying anything concrete, that just makes me think there are no additions worthwhile this year ea.. and dna just doesn't work.

ummm this game looks like another joke.. they talk bout how they want the game to look less robotic... it looks as robotic as last year the player movement is far off... the gameplay still looks horrible and even though the graphics are impressive u just cant appreciate it with the bad robotic feel and bad gameplay
they need the programmers who made FIFA to teach NBA live about AI and movement. That being said both games are pretty much about the break aways.

I got NBA Live 09 last year over NBA 2K9 cuz they din't change anything in 2K. I have 2K every year up til then, so I was a fan boy of 2K. This year I'm just not getting any sports games, because they aren't woorth the full price. They go down as soon as you buy them. With that said, I'm going to try NBA Live and 2K this year. I liked Live better last year because the graphics were better and actually loooked like the players. I guess we will have to see, but NBA Live really have stepped their game up. 2K was sloppy with making last year's.

They got rid of all the clunky movements? All that video must have been from last year's game then lol.
Live is on a downhill, since the NBA 2k franchise was released. Live to me still plays a bit robotic. I do like the freestyle. But overall, 2k is still a better game. Graphics, gameplay and presentation.
Wow. This dude is so funny. When we I gave live a chance, year after year up until 2005, they didn't make any improvements. Now the 2K is on top, and EA can no longer boast about being the number 1 selling nba game no one gave it a chance! C'mon dude, live has sucked for the past five years, im not wasting my money anymore.
at LiLPri3st08, the 2k series has kinda plateaued where they don't really wanna change the look and stuff because theres nothing they really need to change, not to say its perfect, but its pretty damn good and this is coming from a nba live fan
at least ea tries to make it look different every year i can't even tell the difference between 2k9 and 2k10 i also don't get why people don't give live a chance if you guys actuall take the time to play the game instead of renting it playing it for 2hrs and then saying the game sucks, ea's and epic fail lady da then you might see that the game is actually pretty good .

Yea live seems to be pretty crappy every year, This video didn't help them just as the dude says we made the animations more realistic it shows a video of dwight's back not even facing lebron who's driving than he suddenly jolts over faces lebron in the air and tries to block his shot... yea ea that looks really realistic.. good work o_O
Really not a fan of NBA games. I'm sure some people find them fun, but the games seem to clunky at times.
I dont knowww. I tell you what I've played nba2k every year because my cousin is a 2k guy. Myself, I've alway been a Live person. However, with that said it seems that every two years is when live takes a good step. 06/08 were the best since EA began using two numbers instead of the whole year. 07 and 09 were close to a huge disappointment with a the hype involved. Now were looking at another even year, I'm curious to see if the trend continues.....
idk...graphics kindof look like comic book cartoons cuz of the lighting. Less c what 2K10 has to offer
I for one preferred Live 09 to 2K this year. It had more of a fun factor. Also, 2K has been around for how many years now, and their online is HORRIBLE compared to Live! I have FiOS internet, and the connections for 2K SUCK! I am sure live will be better this year, and I think some of you are just fanboys. I played both for 09, and I think live was a better game this year.
Well, i'll give him this: He did own up to Live's herky-jerky unrealistic and robotic animations...and he seems to understand that ppl can't MAKE any game play like a real game unless the characters MOVE like real basketball players. The problem is that the actual footage provided isnt doing anything to persuade me that the game has really jumped that hurdle (and by-proxy nba2k) :like chandler at 0:36 or Varejo at 2:38 or Nelson at 0:51. They're all in a vacuum. It RUINS the environment of the game! once you see that , you dont feel like ur playing ball, its feels like you are playing a program that's keying up macros and protocols. THIS! THIS is why Nba 2k is beating you, the little stuff matters WAY more now in this age when EVERY franchise can make graphically great looking games and has experience in the genre. And you thought you stepped it up? step.it.up.again.
