First thing I have to say is that this game has been vastly improved from the Live edition for the PSP last year. Last year's game was a pretty good one actually, but this is even better. Some of the newly added features include the NBA All-star weekend, Mini games, EA Media center (where you can play your own music tracks. I know cool huh?) and of course, the Dynasty mode. The gameplay is really great and the sound of the court and the commentators (Marv and Steve) is just terrific. The graphics is all right but hey it's the PSP. Cut some slack would you? :P Only flaws about the game is that there is still now create-a-player mode, which kinda sucks. The graphics is not the most beautiful thing you'll see but this game is really fun. If you have a copy of it on a Playstation2 or PC you'll really miss the second analog but you'll get use to it. Not like you'll die without it. These are my final ratings:
Presentation - 8.0 Good menu screen. Best addition so far is the EA Media Center.
Gameplay - 8.5 Good controls. Great competition. Excellent freestyle.
Sound - 9.0 Really cool soundtrack. Coaches screaming. Players communicating. Marv and Steve! What more could you ask for?
Graphics - 7.5 Hey....It's the PSP.
Lasting Appeal - 8.5 Excellent multiplayer, especially in online. All-star weekend bebe! and Dynasty mode will last you a good deal.
So I conclude that if you have love the NBA Live franchise and love portable gaming. Don't miss out and purchase your own copy of NBA Live 07.
