Enter the following codes at the Tonight's Match-Up screen.

First, disable tournament mode. Enter one of the following codes at the ''Tonight's Matchup'' screen to activate the corresponding cheat function to the first player (on the left side of the screen)

Enter Right, Up, Left, Right, B, Down, A. The phrase ''Max Power'' will appear to confirm correct code input.

Enter Left, Right, A, B, Right, Left. The phrase ''Quick Hands'' will appear to confirm correct code input.

Enter A, Up, B, Down, B, Left, Right. The word ''Offense'' will appear to confirm correct code input.

Enter B, B, Down, Down, A, A, Up, Left. The word ''Turbo'' will appear to confirm correct code input.

Enter Right, Left, B, A, B, A. The phrase ''Dunk Powerup'' will appear to confirm correct code input.

Enter Down, Up, Down, B, Up. The phrase ''Shot Percent Display'' will appear to confirm correct code input.

Enter B, A, Down, A, B, and Right 5 times.

Enter A, Left, Left, Down, Right, A, A, B, B, Left. The phrase ''On Fire'' will appear to confirm correct code input.

Enter Down, Right, Right, A, A, Down, Left, Left, Right, B.

Press and hold 2 + 4 + 6 before the player selection screen appears.

Press and hold 4 + 7 + 8 before the player selection screen appears.

Press and hold 1 + 5 + 9 before the player selection screen appears.

Press and hold Down + C + A at the player substitution screen.

Press and hold Left + 1 + 4 + 6 + 9 while the player roster is in attract mode. Keep the buttons pressed until the roster ends.

Press Right, Up, Down, Down, Right, Up. The phrase
''Goal Tend'' will appear to confirm correct code entry.

Press B, A, B, Up, Down, Left, Right. The phrase
''Baby Mode'' will appear to confirm correct code entry.

Enter the following codes at the Tonights Match-Up screen:

This secret player requires a special extra step before he can be used. No other secret players require such a thing. At the first "Licensed by ..." screen, (this will be the very first screen displayed on SNES, and the first screen after the Sega logo on Genesis) push and hold the following button combination: Left + L + R (SNES) Left + Start + C (Genesis) You will NOT receive any confirmation that the cheat has been activated. So press and release the buttons a few times if you have to, just to get it right. With this done, go to the "enter initials" screen and enter the following: Highlight "G", hold Start, press A. Highlight space, hold Start, press A. Highlight "F", hold Start, press Y (SNES) or C (Genesis). If all steps where done properly, you will get the standard "Secret Player" message. And you will see it is "Stud Muffin" once you get to the team select.

After the buzzer rings to end any quarter of play, you can goaltend the final shot.
