NBA Ballers is an interesting game. But at its base it is a game that capitalizes on everyone’s desire to be a pro athlete. The game centers around the career mode where you create a player, you. There are plenty of options in creating your character. And then you proceed to prove you are the best NBA Baller by beating everyone else in a serious of tournaments. Now this may seem over simplified but there is a little bit of depth added because of one feature to the game, you get bling! By that I mean you can create your own mansion, posse, and a collection of cars among other things. This gives you an incentive to keep on going. On the game play side there is a lot to learn hear, however it is not prohibitive. There is a wide breath of moves that one can master, and each character has different set of moves and abilities. The Game is 1V1 which is rather unique, but the game is still enjoyable. As you move through the career mode you gain abilities and certain amount of bling. However one drawback is that you can not allocate how much each ability improves, the computer chooses for you. The graphics in the game are very solid the characters are rendered well. The environments in the game, which are certain players’ mansions, are beautiful and add to the fell of the game. The sound is very good the voice acting does its job, even thought it might not be great, it is humorous at times. Th music is actually original and does its job well, not great, but well. The Achilles heal of the game is NO ONLINE PLAY!!!! If you have a one on one sports game it is made to compete with other people. While you can invite your friend over and play him you can not go online and take on the world. In this day and age that is not right. But overall if you are looking for a solid B-ball game this is one to check out.
