Do not be fooled because its the first next gen basket ball game on pc.... It has MAJOR flaws...
I was dominant in 2k6/7 but was mediocre at 2k8 due to the stupid addition of the "lock on defense" button. I used to own in Hall of Fame mode, but now I cannot even get passed pro in 2k9. So far I have played around 7 games in 2k9 and its terrible. I played one game against the Miami Heat and Michael Beasely had 20 rebounds and 30 points on pro and lead by 20 in the 4th quarter and then they come back and beat me by 5... I then played my next game against Toronto on allstar and It was a very close game. Again in the 4th quarter they make 90% of their shots from where ever they pull out and I can't even buy an open lay up? The game I lost to the Toronto they shot 44/58 5/12 3pt... I do contest every shots, but its either they get blocked or its all net. I haven't tried adjusting the sliders much yet, but this is unacceptable for the previous king of basket ball titles. I love basket ball and I live basket ball and I play basket ball everyday. This is doing the same exact thing Live did, which is heading in a direction of a terrible arcade game. There are MANY more flaws and if you which to check them out before purchasing check them out. It includes videos of the HORRENDOUS AI and the invisible ball physics.
I am not the guy doing this video, but he does bring up major points addressed in my review with video clips as proof. I don't know what the hell is happening with 2k, but I hope they make defense their top priority with 2KX... Overall decent game maybe It will hit a 7 after i play with the sliders a bit.
