y'all say bad graphics but what basketball game have y'all actually seen them grab the rim besides this one?
Graphics wise the game is out dated.
As someone who has played every NBA2k game made. And owning the game on PC which allows for mods which improve the games graphics drastically. 2k Needs to start with textures. Their textures are terrible. For the most part they use 256x256 texture size. The player faces are horrible, there are modders for pc that just mod for a hobby and make life like looking faces and yet the "pros" at 2k make terrible models. I would suggest for them to just scan every players head, kinda like madden did way back when. And finally, 2K has to WANT to have better graphics, they are limited with the current consoles, but there are things they can improve upon like i stated earlier.
Not bad, I see what people mean by the graphics but they will never beat reality.

@nocoolnamejim blame kinect and ps move. they prolonged the life of the current consoles. microsoft is still making profit i think sony is too, why would they feel the need to come out with newer consoles if they're still getting bank?
sorry i take it back, blame the consumers for still buying the outdated consoles.

Dig the video and ORIGINAL Dream Team would kill them! Not even close! The BIGS of the '92 team would treat the "bigs" of '12 team... Thats the MAJOR difference! Game looks PIMP as usual!

I agree. graphics have reached their peak with this generation of consoles. Let's give developers a chance to release the new systems, then we can come back to this conversation.......until then just play the game or STFU!
Looks terrible with the visuals.... Gameplay will prob be solid, but the look is getting olddddd...
As if there is any doubt the Dream Team would win, Jordan doesn't miss unlike todays over rated and over payed players.
You guys complain about stupid stuff. Name one sports game that looks better in motion, and sounds better, and even plays closer to the real thing that the 2k series? NONE. They do not NEED a new engine, they need a STRONGER SYSTEMS. And since they don't want the Xbox version on 2 disc, they have to use a limited amount of memory.
@misterbanks87 I'm sorry buy, plays close to the real thing? Its a video game.At the end of the day you're still pressing buttons to shoot, dribble and pass a ball. Games like 2k that try to make it "realistic" are not fun IMO. My favorite bball games are games like NBA jam and NBA live which IMO is not an arcade type basketball game. Yes it has more of an arcade feel then 2k but its still a sim.

The thing that really pisses me off is how 2k can't get the colors right in game. If you look at the video, the court is some neon pinkish red color. The "RED" on the jerseys or what is supposed to be red is also maroon-ish. Look at the accessories, Melos arm sleeves are maroon. Then when you play with the Bulls it's also pinkish/maroon. 2k has failed to fix this for years, it's beyond annoying now. Seriously get the colors right, buy a freaking jersey or go to the games it's a simple task.
@BiggEdd32 uhhhh there is nothing wrong with the colors bro. Have you considered going to the eye doctor? Because you might be colorblind, or try adjusting the color settings on your monitor...
@Munstable Just don't buy the game every year. Skip 13, get 14. There's not really anything you'll be missing, like you said, and it'll be included in the next one.
1 Like @Dr_McTeabag @Munstable Well if you're going to skip a year then you should have skipped 2k12 because 2k13 has some new and needed improvements. Animations are super fluid, my player is much deeper and association has been revamped.
I'm not letting 2k off the hook for anything, but what are you expecting? Them to rewrite the entire game? It's a basketball game, they've addressed a lot of issues. Fixed speed, fixed passing, added more animations, animations are fluid, better physics, on and on.
I have my gripes about the game, MOST has to do with the graphics or the lack of improvements to the graphics and textures, buy you can't expect some new game every year out a sports game.
The improvements 2k has said they've maid in 2k13 are not minimal at all. In fact from what they've revealed, it's the most improvement any nba 2k game has had.
Again, please show me a sports game that doesn't "roll out the same thing every year". You have to judge them on the improvements. It could be worse, they can be like madden. But NBA 2k13 has put in a lot of effort in addressing complaints about the game. If you're a basketball fan, I wouldn't suggest skipping this years version. And I'm not completely satisfied with certain things that I have seen, but it's still going to be a hell of a game.
is it me or does this look worse than NBA 2K12 or even 2K11/2K10?
Besides roster changes, this game really offer nothing new with each new season. I seriously doubt that they should make it a full game every year. Why not instead make a yearly update as dlc, and make it "free" to owners of the last game?
good trailer, jordan would make that last shot, but i think the game would be 15pts anyway. but no one will ever know. hope they fixed some of the stickyness of dribbling and defense. this yr
2K really knows how to advertise a product. Showing the 92' Dream Team or anything with Jordan is unfair. I watched every game and now to get play them? Oh 2k you know the way to my heart. Give up EA before you make your company look worse than people already think it is.
Now this trailer tells you everything of basketball... oh! and we all know that Jordan scored that last shot.... lol. Great to see the Dream Team
This is what I'm waiting for...Oct 2nd can't come any sooner. Hope this puts the previous games to shame.
