i loved being able to create myself in the game and being able to put myself into the life of an NBA star. what i didnt like that much was in order to get XP points to improve my player i had to play every single game. i just didnt have the time to play through my career. i barely finished my rookie season. what i mainly want to know is there an option to progress through my career faster than in 2K11 without not being able to get XP points? also what are some other improvements that are worth mentioning, either in My Player mode or in general?
thanks a lot.

Even though it has been glitchy you can actually progress your MyPlayer faster in 2k13 by earning VC in other modes like Association, Online, Training modes. That earned VC can then be applied to your MyPlayer in MyCareer mode to boost your players stats.
Contrary to popular belief you can actually progress alot faster you start out in the low 60's (I started at 63) I mistakenly hit Key Games so I am halfway through the season however in only player 5 or 6 games I am already a 73 because I also play other modes and earn VC in those modes to apply to my MyPlayer in MyCareer. I am not quite a beast yet but I am fairly good playing the 2 Guard for Portland.
My advice would be to start out with an Athletic player in whatever position you choose. He will have a better physical ratings than most players off the bat and IMO is the easiest player type to re-introduce yourself to MyPlayer. I also play on All-Star thinking about going up to Superstar difficulty today. Nevertheless it's all about your style of play.

Oh yea no longer need to press the L2 button to initiate isomotion dribbling the mechanics are similar to NBA Live's Freestlye stick but a litte more complex. Shooting is a tad different but not much you just have to figure out a shot stroke and a shooting base that you are comfortable with.
