Good graphics, good sound, but has unbelievably poor controls.

User Rating: 3 | NBA 2K11 PC
The last NBA series I played was NBA Live 08. That game was fun, albeit without all the fancy graphics and good sounds which are here in this game.

Here's my review of the game:
PROS:
1) Good Graphics
By good, I don't just mean good. It's near to perfect. The player models are just counterparts of their real life forms. The animation of their signature styles are also near to perfect. Even the crowd and the court itself has a huge deal of detail. Not mentioning the cutscenes, which are perfect, showing you every detail of your previous dunk, in complete detail. Wonderful.

2) Great Sound
Sound IS excellent. From the announcer to the crowd. Even the sounds of rubber soles rubbing against the floor can be heard in full detail. The sound really sucks you into the game. Together with the graphics, this makes the game near perfect.

3) Updated Rosters
You can always choose to update the game's rosters any time you like by clicking on the little button on the menu, to update your roster's to the latest available roster in the world of NBA.

CONS:
One bad point which spoils nearly up to everything in this game. No matter how good the graphics, no matter how good the sound, this defect makes the game suck.

Horrible controls are the big problem here.

Firstly, for keyboard users, please AVOID this game at all costs.
Secondly, for controller users, please AVOID this game at all costs.

Why?
Keyboard: Obviously, being a console port, you really can't expect much from using a keyboard to play this game. Well, you can. But you will get frustrated since your character won't move the way you want it to and you won't be able to do some tricks which only the controller can execute using the so called "Right Stick" or even the "Left Stick". Keyboards don't have sticks nor steaks as far as I'm concerned.

Controller: Yes, this game is meant for controllers. But the controls are all over the place. Sure, you can customise your controls however you like, however, there are too many controls to customise. If you customise one, you would have to remap another one. You can spend up to 1 hour customising your controls. However, remapping controls isn't the problem here. You WILL get confused what buttons you have to press next to perform what kind of movement, simply because there are too many.

This game DOES NOT provide a proper tutorial mode. But if you are looking for a tutorial mode, you can simply press Esc > Game Modes > Practice > Free Mode. It will give you instructions on how to execute some moves. But the problem is, you will NEVER know if you execute them correctly or not.

Final verdict:
Get NBA Live 08 (though it's pretty old), and wait for them to revamp the menus and controls.
