First off this is coming from a guy that has supported 2K since Dreamcast. I am disappointed that they released a game with all of these bugs. Now to the meat of the review. 2K is a good basketball simulation when played correctly. I happen to think that the correct way to play the game is on Hall of Fame difficulty. I have played maybe 15 games on Hall of Fame so far and only won maybe 5. The game get's really addictive when you give yourself a challenge. You must consider that I had not played a basketball video game consistently since 2K8. As for game-play,this game feels totally different than 2K8. The pace is slower and the defense is difficult to get down on Hall of Fame. It is frustrating to see that your teammates allow too many easy cuts and leads to the basket. They also allow for guys that are known shooters to pop out for uncontested 3 pointers. It is difficult to play on ball defense also. Offensively, the shot stick or even the face button used to shoot with fails way to often, making it difficult to make even wide open jump shots. As for graphics, this game looks really good even without a HDTV. The presentation is good but could be better, especially if you consider how great NFL 2K5's presentation was at that time. Finally, graphically, presentation wise, and game-play wise this is a good and addictive game to play. My suggestion, ramp it up to Hall of Fame and get the true feel of competition. This is the best basketball game to date.
