Like Madden, Issues That Should Be Resolved By Now Aren't

This is gonna be short and to the point. The 2K series is just plain 'ol overhyped. Don't let the reviewers fool you. 2K and Live are much closer than you think. It is straight up a matter of preference, and that is it for this year. To say one is actually better than the other would be misrepresenting the facts. So 2K beefed up their presentation. Big WHOOP! You have the slowdown in the lane, herky-jerky online lag, framerate drops during cutscenes and ESPECIALLY during freethrows. Bottom line, these are things other games in other genre's would be called on. But for some reason, when comparing 2K to the Live series, these are issues that 'don't really detract from the overall gameplay experience'. What a joke!

I would say that framerate issues when driving the lane and the still ever present online lag are detractors in my overall gameplay experience. I'm not here to fly Lives flag. I just feel Live gets the shaft from these sites when it is constantly compared to the 2K series. So, why the seven score you ask? Because alot of my issues with the 2K product have been there for a while now, and they appear to be getting worse. Players, especially post players, still miss WAY too many shots, for example. I am giving the nod to Live for the second year in a row. I give it a solid 8.5. It is markedly improved over last years game, and the gameplay is smooth as butta'! On and offline. Great graphics and presentation. Better ball physics. you can just tell the guys at EA are really working hard to make live better with each year. Both games still have issues, but Live is actually fixing things. So, if you want a solid b-ball game that is fun as hell, pick up Live 10 this year. You can't go wrong with either one you chose, but I am picking Live as the best game for the second year in a row. Keep up the good work EA.
