Ambitious... but if you really want to enjoy this game, then buy a new PC, or XBOX, or PS3 then get Draft Combine online

Hi Everyone! Good game but it sure can get better than any of the previous 2k Sport games I have played from ten years ago ... I would advise any Wii owner NOT to buy this game. Just rent it unless you don't mind NEVER being able to play the game options you wish like from previous games that 2K Sports have allowed you. Just read on if you want to know why i feel this way. Otherwise, thank you for time and you'll likely have the same chances of getting your time back as I do getting my $60 back from this game :)

I just spent $60 on NBA2k10 for Wii. I heard about the My Player mode and I knew that I was in for a treat when I decided to fork over 60 big ones to a local EB Games store. I've been having a lot of fun playing a simulated life of an NBA hopeful in the My Player mode in 5-minute Quarter intervals. I thought it would be really fun to be able to play through real NBA minutes (or real basketball minutes for that matter).

Now, I'm ready to start playing 12-minute games now to be able to get a chance to complete the many challenges that give extra Skill Points on My Player's Game, Season, and Career statistics. To my disappointment, I found out through this forum that Wii players can NEVER EVER change their minutes in My Player mode ... I wish I have learned about this before I spent $60 on a game that I have trusted to have been able to simulate best what there games are about. I can't connect my Wii to the internet even though I have the Wii WiFi USB connector so I can't get updates online even though they're available which really does not exist for Wii players. I doubt that anyone can score 40 plus points without being a ball hog in the dreaded 5-minute My Player quarters ...

I'm wondering if 2K Sports is doing something to address this matter regarding the issue that Wii Players have. I simply wish to know why do I feel that we, the Wii players, are being treated differently compared to the Microsoft or Sony console players? Also, if the product does not deliver what it says it does (realism and customization) and imply that it does (putting in-game options that does not work as intended and proclaiming it as a finished product ...), is there a way to recover my $60?

Don't get me wrong .. it's a fairly ambitious project but it came short in delivering 'a game'. The games from ten years ago had customizable options .. why leave the roots that made the company great and better than the opposition (EA Live series) ??? Sure, there may be people who do not like playing more than 5 minute quarters .. but not every player share that insight.
